WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE COFFEE?
We've collected some great tips for storing your coffee here.
HOW SOON SHOULD I USE THE BEANS?
We recommend using our coffees within 9 months of the roast date. For the best brewing results, ideally use our filter roasts 2-6 weeks after the roast date. Our espresso roasts achieve the best results 1-3 months after roasting.

CAN COFFEE GO BAD?
While coffee takes a long time to "go bad", it can at least lose its aromas. Therefore, we recommend that you use it up no later than 9 months after the roasting date. After that, you can still drink it, but it will no longer taste as intense.
WHICH COFFEE DO I USE FOR MY FULLY AUTOMATIC MACHINE?
We recommend using the coffee from our fully automatic coffee machine range. However, you can also use any other espresso. We do not recommend filters, as they will yield a very high acidity through the short contact time between the water and the coffee grounds. Our espressos are a safe bet to maximise the flavour from your bean-to-cup.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHICH COFFEE I LIKE?
The short answer: try them! Taste is a personal thing and the best way is taste your way through different origins. You can sort the coffees in our shop by origin too, helping you find your favourites before you know it ! :)

Coffee Advent Calendar
HOW MUCH COFFEE IS IN THE ADVENT CALENDAR?
The advent calendar contains 24 x 50g of coffee.
WHAT ARE THE TINS MADE OF?
The tins are made of 100% aluminium and can be easily reused for anything in the home.
I HAVE A FULLY AUTOMATIC MACHINE, WHICH ADVENT CALENDAR IS BEST FOR ME?
The espresso roast is more suitable for a fully automatic or bean-to-cup machine. A lighter filter coffee roast would yield a strong acidity in the cup due to the extremely short brewing time and would not taste as good.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH COFFEE IS IN THE TIN?
You have the following options to get all the information about your coffee:
1. Under each tin there is a brief explanation about the coffee in question.
2.Scan the QR code on a can and (if it's already December) you'll be taken to the coffee info on our website.
3. Sign up for our daily advent coffee update and you'll get detailed background information, brew guides and lots of tips & tricks straight to your inbox. To sign up, click here.
CAN I ALSO HAVE THE ADVENT CALENDAR GROUND?
Yes, simply select in the product and get pre-ground. However, for the best taste experience, we always recommend whole beans. In the Advent calendar grinder bundles, a grinder is included for free.
CAN I ORDER THE ADVENT CALENDAR ONLINE AND PICK IT UP IN ONE OF YOUR BRANCHES?
Yes, you can also choose the roastery pickup and drop by. This costs nothing. Please do not come by without receiving a message that your order is ready for pickup.
What is the difference between the espresso and filter roasts?
We offer two versions of the Advent calendar (as whole beans) every year: Espresso and Filter. Both versions differ in the roasting. While the filter roast is primarily intended for filter brewing, the espresso version is great for preparation in an espresso machine or other espresso preparation methods.
However, these are only recommendations; you can also prepare an espresso roast in a filter coffee machine. This will yield stronger roasted notes in the cup.
