One more year with 19grams has passed by — and what a year it was!
Here it is: the “2025 – It’s a wrap” post, with a little glimpse behind the roasters, as every year, James (and everybody else).
We’ve bean funnier this year — or shall we say: we’re not taking ourselves too seriously. Just having 19grams of fun is the cup. And we can confidently say: that’s exactly the approach we took in 2025. Here’s how it went:
January started quietly, with coffee for €2. But already in February, we were gambling for love on Valentine’s Day with our Blind Date coffee. In March, you — the community — decided to honour Rosa Luxemburg and Ada Lovelace on our annual Women’s Day Coffee (and we loved it, too). For Easter, we followed the White Rabbit to some of the most delish coffees.
April started with a new name, @17.5grams.coffee — which we then decided not to keep, and stayed with the old one. Because, honestly, it’s bloody hard to gain followers on social media these days.
But we did have an idea how to deal with that, too, so make sure to follow along on our secret TikTok account to see how close we are to 1,000,000 followers: @19grams.secret.
(At this point, we kindly invite you to share the link in your WhatsApp family chat. Please everybody follow now, so we can stop adding one bean a day to this insanely big 12 kg bucket… the social media crew will be very greateful.)
Speaking of great things: we truly enjoyed the wonderful @berlincoffeefestival in September and would like to thank @ceeceeberlin once again for this beautiful event. You also might have spotted us at @baristaleague in Prague — or on @wolt, @lieferando or @ubereats (just casually dropping this here, in case you don’t feel like going out one of these days…).
The absolute underdog coffee — as you’ll see in our spoiler alert Coffee Wrapped of the year — was (no, not Poltergeist, but close): Nutcracker. We strongly suspect it was the glitter stars on the packaging. And we’ve heard you loud and clear: next year, more glitter stars on the labels. Stay tuned. Followed by the very last release of 2025 is our first-ever New Year’s Coffee: “Life After The Party” — or, as we call it internally: LA(T)P Coffee. You just have to love it.
Last but not least, a huge thank you to our collaboration partners, bloggers — and you. Yes, you, reading this right now. You’re what makes roasting coffee the bloody best thing in the world. Special thanks goes to @70x7production and @raumkaffee for pictures, videos and outstanding Advent Calendar content.
And that’s it! It’s bean a pleasure roasting for you, friends. We’re already looking forward to the sequel in 2026 — for even more fun in your cups. It’s going to be exciting.
And for everyone wondering where the Halloween villain ended up — I’m writing the caption of that ridiculous post right now.
Wishing you — once more — a “Guten Rutsch!
