The term "rare coffees" refers to coffees of which only an extremely limited quantity is available. There is disagreement among experts as to whether these rare coffees, such as Jamaica Blue Mountain, Kopi Luwak and Hawaii Kona, are actually so outstanding in quality that they justify the high prices, or whether these prices are merely the result of their scarcity in conjunction with clever marketing.
