E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso) is an open standard system for espresso pods, known as E.S.E. pods. It allows any roaster or machine manufacturer to participate in this system and use the pads. The pads are specially designed for espresso machines with portafilters and consist of small two-layer filter bags containing a single portion of pressed espresso powder. They have a diameter of 44 mm and are often equipped with a tab for easy insertion and removal. These pods are available in various sales channels, including specialty shops and online retailers.
