This lot comes from Chelbesa, the largest coffee growing area in Gedeb Woreda, Ethiopia, with a total area of 1,240 hectares of coffee farms. Danche is the name of the organically certified washing plant in Chelbesa, under the management of Girum Assefa. He carefully takes care of the management of the plant and the processing of these coffees. In addition, it is important for him to pass on his knowledge to the farmers from the surrounding area and to train them in the processing and cleaning methods in order to increase quality and promote innovation.
We were very pleased with most of the coffees, you did a very good job at roasting them (which I guess is tricky with all these different decaf processes). The packaging was also very nice and we had a great cupping session.
I do have to mention though, that your own decaf coffee was a bit of a disappointment. In general I really like your coffees, but I think this one does not meet the standards of your other products.
(I also feel it was an unfortunate decision to include it in the package, as the difference compared to other decafs became even more pronounced)
