    This workshop is designed to be an introduction into the world of specialty coffee.

    On completion of the workshop participants will have gained a good knowledge covering different growing regions to aid decision-making when purchasing coffee beans, develop a palate to differ between desirable and undesirable tastes in an espresso, learn to build a recipe through learning how to correctly set the grinder, tamp, and extract coffee to produce a deliciously balanced espresso, steam milk with an incredibly silky and smooth texture, ready for latte art, and lastly how to clean and maintain their equipment.

    We cover all these topics:

    - How to choose coffee to buy and use?
    - How to use an espresso machine and coffee grinder
    - Building a recipe to obtain the best flavour out of your espresso beans
    - Developing a palate for tasting espresso
    - Understanding extraction and strength
    - Steaming and pouring milk
    - Daily cleaning and maintenance of the espresso machine

    Which course is perfect to start with?

    The best way to start is with the Barista course, where we deal with the basics of espresso and learn what makes a really good espresso. To expand on the knowledge gained in the Barista course, we recommend the Latte Art course.

    How do I redeem a voucher for a training?

    Go to the training you want to take and select an available date. Now go to the checkout. You will have a code on your voucher - you will need to enter this in the discount code field of the checkout. Please make sure you don't complete your order without entering the code, as we can't apply it afterwards.     How long is a voucher valid for?

    Yes, we issue a certificate after successful completion of the training, which confirms your participation.
