Berlin Coffee Festival 2018

Berlin Coffee Festival 2018

From August 31 to September 3, 2018, the Berlin Coffee Festival will take place for the fourth time. On no less than four days, you will have the opportunity to get to know various roasters, importers and cafés from Berlin, Germany and Europe, exchange ideas with players from the coffee world, learn about new trends and, of course, taste the best coffees.

The motto of the festival

In recent years, the Berlin coffee scene has developed rapidly and many new roasteries, cafes, coffee places and projects have emerged. For this reason, this year's festival is held under the motto "Traceability" and the aim is to get to know the people behind the cups - whether producers, importers, roasters, baristas or people who are involved in the scene in their own way and make a difference.

Satellite program

On Friday and Saturday, workshops and events will take place throughout Berlin at various coffee venues. We will also open the doors for you in our new roastery at Alexanderplatz and have organized several free workshops.

Our workshops

For all LaMarzocco machine owners and people interested in technology we offer the workshop "Getting to know your La Marzocco". Our in-house technician Jonny will explain you the structure and function of a LaMarzocco machine, give tips on maintenance and error prevention and answer your questions. The workshop will take place Friday and Saturday at 13:00. More information about the content, location and registration process can be found here.

Of course, cupping is not to be missed. But our "Cupping slurp down" will not be a normal coffee tasting. Be curious what our roasting masters Bara and Anthony have prepared for you. The cupping will take place on Friday at 15:00. You can register here.

Side Events

The BCF will organize a roasting championship for the first time this year. The award ceremony and party will take place on Friday at 18:00 in our roastery at Alexanderplatz. Information on registration and the schedule will follow in the next few days on Facebook and Instagram.

For all social media enthusiastic frahling lovers, a blogger breakfast will take place on Saturday morning at 9:00 am in our roastery. The event is organized by Kaffeeherz. In our new 19grams Café am Alex, coffee bloggers and social media professionals will come together in a cozy brunch to give you interesting insights and valuable tips for your social media activities. You can find the full program and registration information here.

Coffee market on Sunday

Sunday is market day at Markthalle Neun and importers, roasters and cafés from Berlin, Germany and Europe invite you to get to know all facets of the world of specialty coffee. At our booth you will have the opportunity to taste our freshly arrived coffees from Costa Rica, including a Geisha coffee from Hacienda Sonora and the popular SL28 from Hacienda Las Lajas. You'll be able to chat with our wonderful coffee experts and baristas, and we'll present novelties like our 19grams coffee subscription. All this will be topped off with homemade cakes from our 19grams bakery. Come by, we are looking forward to seeing you!

Professional day on Monday

Monday is reserved for the professionals, bringing together those who have turned their passion for coffee into a career. At our booth we offer our current coffee highlights for tasting and look forward to a lively exchange with old and new friends from the specialty coffee scene. If you would like to learn more about our wholesale range, use our coffees for your own café or restaurant or are interested in some kind of collaboration, you are welcome to visit us on Monday at Markthalle Neun.
