Specialty Coffee

A coffee is considered a specialty coffee if it scores 80 or more points on a 100-point scale according to the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) rating.

The points refer to the taste of the coffee. To achieve such a high score, the coffee must convince with unique flavor notes on the one hand and must not have any flavor defects such as rubbery or ashy on the other.
