The region around Nyakabugi Farm is known for the excellent quality of its coffee and the spectacular scenery of the mountain range. During harvest time, the cherries are picked by hand and delivered to the processing station the same day. At the Nyakabugi Processing Station, part of the Nyakiri Farmers' Cooperative, the cherries are carefully selected before the hulling process begins. During this process, unripe and overripe cherries are removed. During this process, and also during fermentation, the cherries are treated exclusively with fresh river water. The coffee is then dried on raised beds in the sun, and once it has reached the correct moisture content, it is taken to the drying hulling station for further processing.
