In the very south of the department of Huila is the picturesque coffee growing community of Palestina. In the vereda or community of Buenos Aires, there is a producer group called Café Origen Palestina, made up of family members and friends. It was formed with the goal of improving post-harvest processing and allowing members to properly store green coffee before sale. One of the founding members is Linarco Rodriguez Ospina, a second-generation coffee producer. Finca El Bosque is located at 1,715 meters above sea level and is planted exclusively with two coffee varieties: Geisha and Pink Bourbon. Linarco processes the coffee after harvesting at the association's headquarters, as he does not yet have the necessary infrastructure on his farm. The infrastructure is to be installed at his farm.
We were very pleased with most of the coffees, you did a very good job at roasting them (which I guess is tricky with all these different decaf processes). The packaging was also very nice and we had a great cupping session.
I do have to mention though, that your own decaf coffee was a bit of a disappointment. In general I really like your coffees, but I think this one does not meet the standards of your other products.
(I also feel it was an unfortunate decision to include it in the package, as the difference compared to other decafs became even more pronounced)
