Cata Export are a coffee exporter based in Colombia who trade exclusively in high quality Colombian coffees. They’re all about ethical trade and bringing equality into the often-brutal global coffee market. Through direct and meaningful relationships with producers and farmers, they enable granular traceability, which is great for us coffee nerds who want to know everything about the brews we’re drinking. But more importantly, it means that producers can earn a (more) fair wage. It means that farmers are in a support network that will only continue to help as the coffee industry faces challenges like climate change, discrimination and market fluctuations.
We’re lucky to have (at least) two coffees from Cata heading to our shelves this year. Subscribers to the Rockstar subscription will already be familiar with them – you’ll have to ask one or subscribe yourself if you want to try these exclusive coffees before they go on general sale :)
