A clean coffee with a balanced body. Slight acidity due to the note of red currant, combined with gentle sweetness of raspberries and a slightly bitter rounding of blood orange. The best proof of its high quality is its placement on the list of winners of the Cup of Excellence in Ethiopia.
About the coffee
This filter coffee from Ethiopia is a 74110 variety. The Heirloom variety is known to many, but is actually just a generic term that is often used. Subvarieties 74110 and 74112 were developed in the 1970s at the Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC) for their resistance to coffee berry disease. These two varieties begin with "74." The number indicates their cataloging and selection in 1974. The 74110 trees are relatively small and have small leaves, cherries and beans.
To get our delicious beans out of the coffee cherries, they are dried on raised beds in the sun and processed into natural coffee.

Cultivation
Grown with love by great farmers. 100% Arabica coffee, harvested when ripe and carefully processed. Sustainable and fairly traded.
Coffee is a fruit with many natural fruit acids. We roast our coffees to bring out these acids, but also to bring out the sweetness. When our roasters develop a flavour profile for a filter coffee, they make sure to use a slightly lower temperature. In our coffees, we bring out the natural flavour profile of each variety, but also of the terroir of Origin.
