Map Uganda

The farm | Rwenzori Arabica Kyagalanyi Coffee

While Uganda is generally associated with Robusta coffee, the hilly regions around Mount Elgon in the east of the central African country provide an optimal climate for producing high quality Arabica too. Known as the mountains of the moon, the Rwenzori mountains stretch for 120 km across the Congo and Uganda, and reaching 5000 masl provide the necessary day0night temperature swings for coffee cherries to slowly ripen. Besides coffee, cassava, corn, beans and peanuts are also grown in this lush and beautiful region.

Bloody Good Filter

Coffee is a fruit with many natural fruit acids. We roast our coffees to bring out these acids, but also to bring out the sweetness. When our roasters develop a flavour profile for a filter coffee, they make sure to use a slightly lower temperature. In our coffees, we bring out the natural flavour profile of each variety, but also of the terroir of Origin.
