    Pre-Ground
    The standard version of the Advent calendar with 24 tins comes as a whole bean with the full variety of flavours. There is a limited number of ground calendars. Grinds are used for the range of espresso or filter preparation methods. The grind may therefore vary from the one you prefer. We always recommend that you grind the coffee yourself: for the best taste experience, because changing the grind has the greatest influence on your taste result.

    HOW MUCH COFFEE DOES THE ADVENT CALENDAR CONTAIN?

    The calendar is made up of 24 tins of 50g of coffee each. The Sunday Calendar and the Rockstar Calendar each contain 4 bags of 250g of coffee

    WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ESPRESSO AND FILTER ROAST?

    Each year, we offer two versions of our advent calendar: espresso and filter. Both calendars contain the same coffees, the only difference being in how the beans are roasted. The filter version is suited to filter brewing like pour over, french press or filter coffee machines, while the espresso version is designed for use in espresso machines and other high-pressure brewers.

    Nonetheless, this is just our recommendation, and the espresso roast can be used to brew filter coffee too. You'll just have a cup with a roastier flavour profile.

    WHEN WAS MY ADVENT CALENDAR ROASTED?

    We start roasting in mid October. Normally, we start with the espressos before finishing up with the filter roasts, which allows for the longer resting time needed for espresso. As we don't roast all the coffees on the same day, we can't give an exact date as to when your calendar was roasted.

    The tins all contain a seal in their lids which keeps the coffee sealed and fresh.

    WHAT ARE THE TINS MADE OF?

    The tins are made out of 100% aluminium and can be recycled or reused around the house.

    I HAVE A BEAN-TO-CUP MACHINE, WHICH ADVENT CALENDAR SHOULD I BUY?

    The espresso roast is best suited to bean-to-cup machines. The lighter roast profile used in our filter calendar would produce very sour coffee if brewed in a bean-to-cup machine, so we recommend the more developed espresso roast.

    HOW DO I KNOW WHICH COFFEE IS IN EACH TIN?

    The key information about each coffee is printed on the box under each tin.     CAN I ORDER THE ADVENT CALENDAR AS GROUND COFFEE?

    Unfortunately we only offer our advent calendar in whole beans. To get the most from your coffee, we always recommend brewing with freshly ground coffee. Need a grinder? Check out our calendar-grinder bundles.
